I understand that you are facing issues with your HP DeskJet GT 5820 All-in-One Printer wherein you get an error "Ink Cartridge Failure" for the tricolor printhead.

 

This issue could occur if is the tricolor printhead is damaged or not installed properly.

 

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

I am getting the below message. 

Ink cartridge failure: Tri-Color. Cartridges listed above are damaged or have failed. Remove them and replace with new cartridges.

These are ink refill cartridges. Please advise how to replace them ?

3. Error message (if any)
• Example: ""Low disk space"" error in Windows
4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
• Examples: Upgrading your Operating System or installing a new software; or installing new hardware like a printer, modem, or router.
