How to properly calibrate printer heads?

I performed automatic justification procedure using printing & scanning sample page. Still, I see significant shifitng of magenta color at about 0.3 mm (block #5) along with dark green line (block #6). Printer firmware has been updated as well before.

So, is any other options available to calibrate priting heads tightly?

@krdmitry, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you do not have the full-featured software for the printer download and install from here.

Now follow the steps below:

Align the printer from the HP software

  1. Open or search for the HP folder in your list of installed software applications, click the folder for your printer, and then click the name of your printer.

    HP Printer Assistant opens.

  2. On the HP Printer Assistant window, click Maintain Your Printer.

  3. Click the Device Services tab, and then click Align Cartridges.

The printer prints an alignment page.

  4. Lift the scanner lid.

  5. Place the alignment page with the print side down on the right-front corner of the scanner glass, and then close the scanner lid. Position it according to the guides around the scanner glass.

    Printer alignment

  6. Close the scanner lid.

  7. On your computer, click Scan.

    The printer aligns the printheads.

  8. Recycle or discard the alignment page.

Let me know the outcome.

Cheers 🙂

Hello, TEJ.

Yes, I have done this procedure, and got a better results than before. Still, after the procedure, I have about 0.2  - 0.3 mm shift at the calibration sheet printed bu vertical and about 0.1-0.2 mm by horizontal (this is visible in black-magenta rectangle in the center of sheet), along with 'dark green' bar at paragraph #6 of the sheet.

So, is any other ways available to calibrate the printer?

Glad to know that there was an improvement in the print quality. But I am afraid that there is no other way to perform the printhead calibration.

However, you can try the same steps again to see if that makes any difference.
