I cannot find ink levels for my cartridge. Everything I see online says to go to printer preferences and services. However, the only thing on that page for my printer is align or clean cartridges. Is this printer too old to check cartridge levels? Also, would low ink levels cause the printer to only print the correct colors in dpi max quality? Even in "best" mode, the colors are wrong.

@BTatro1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
This printer does not have a touch screen, unlike the newer model printers. The only way to check the ink levels is to use the printer driver installed on the computer.
1. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Print Settings and then click Printer Toolbox.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Services tab, and then click Service this device.
The Printer Toolbox appears.
2. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab.
The estimated ink levels for the print cartridges appear.
Refer to step 3 in this document for more details.
If you do not have the printer driver installed on the computer, click here to download the same.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
