Laser InkJet Pro MFP M479 fdw
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Tried printing photos on OfficeMax semi-gloss professional paper (270 gram/10 mil) and the ink smears all over the place - even on the back of the paper!  Regular paper works fine but this professional paper just makes a mess.  Does this mean the printer is so fussy that I have to have a special paper to do this?  If so, what paper can I use??

HP Laserjet M479fdw can't print on photo paper that is intended to be used in inkjet printers. The special coating on photopaper for inkjet printers can't handle toner dust from a laser printer.

There is a big difference in Laserjet printers and Inkjet printers and in papers, they can or can't use.
