Try these steps:

Check the Paper and Reload:

  • Inspect the paper in the input tray for any ripped, dusty, curled, or bent sheets. These can cause paper feed issues.
  • Ensure the paper is neatly stacked and correctly loaded into the main tray.
  • Slide the paper-width guides inwards until they touch the edges of the paper.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers:

  • Dust and debris might accumulate on the rollers and cause paper jams or feed issues. Use a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water to gently clean the rollers.

Reset the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is turned on.
  • Wait 60 seconds and then reconnect the power cord.
  • HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet. Turn the printer back on to complete the reset.
