Hi there,

I got my printer 3 weeks ago. However, I just enrolled in HP Instant Ink program yesterday.

Today, the ink level is already low, and there is no more Black color ink. But the control pallel at (instantink.hpconnected.com) still show no ink need to order.  Is this because I just enrolled into?  Does this mean I should go to buy a new cartridge and replace it.  If so, I guess it will still count usage of my month plan, right.

So, should I wait you to send a replace instant ink or should I go to buy a new one.

Hey @xiaoke

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, my name is Andrea and I will be happy to help you.

The printer you enrolled is an Instant Ink ready printer which means we can convert the cartridges that came with it to Instant Ink cartridges. So this is why it says Instant Ink cartridges installed.

When you enrolled you would have seen a page prior to going to your account page letting you know that a welcome kit was being shipped and would arrive within 5-10 business days. You have a package on its way to you with both of your cartridges in it. Once you insert those cartridges the program will resume monitoring your ink levels so it can order you new ink. This same thing will happen when one of those cartridges gets low your account will then say Ink Shipped or Ink Delivered and once that ink cartridge is inserted the program begins again monitoring for the purpose of ordering you new ink cartridges.

The cartridges after this first welcome kit however, will always come before your printer indicates it is low on ink and you will have the cartridge on hand.

I hope this explains this for you, if you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us here on the forums.

Thanks,

Andrea
