I want to print a number of double-sided pages. I can't simply use the double-sided function because the ghost screws that up after one or two sheets. So this is what I have to do: 1. Print 10 one-sided sheets. Because of what I have to do it's best just to do 10 at a time. 2. Place 7 of these sheets upside down in the tray and print 7. If I try to do all 10 the ghost starts multi-pulling pages and/or skipping pages after 7. About ten seconds after the 7th page prints a blank page rolls out of the printer. 3. I load up page 8 in the tray and print one. If I try to print any more the printer pulls multiple sheet or skips sheets. Once again, after 10 seconds a blank sheet rolls out. 4. Repeat this process for the 9th page and the 10th page, with each time having a blank page roll out of the machine.
This pattern happens like clockwork. Why does my printer malfunction like this. And why does it ALWAYS do it to such exactness the same time EVERY time???? Are there ghosts in the printer that are haunting my printer and making it act so weirdly???

Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

Also, refer to the document HP Deskjet and Officejet Printers - Multiple Pages Feed through the Printer for help.
If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
