I bought my HP OfficeJet 6950 last Nov 2019.  Since the beginning of this year, I had issues with the printer not working out properly, in that I have to go through several steps (2 to 3 [include thorough Clean]) in 'Printhead Cleaning'.  I had no issues with my previous HP Printer.  Any help or information will be appreciated - thanks.

Hi @Hamiemu ,

Welcome to the HP Support-Community.

Please, print out a diagnostics page, remove the serial number (SN) and upload it here to the community. To print the report,

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup

     menu.

  2. Open the Reports or Tools menu.
  3. Touch Print Quality Report.

You can upload it by clicking on the "Insert photos" icon on the text-editor.

This may be a faulty printhead.

Cheers,

Nils

Hi,

Thank you for the report!

The printhead is okay as well as the cartridges. 🙂

Can you please go a little bit more into detail? Where exactly lies the problem and what doesn't work?

Cheers!

Nils

Printouts come out with missing info, wrong colours, etc.  After I do two to three 'Clean Print Heads', then the printouts are OK again.

Hi,

I now know what is causing the trouble. Contrary to my original assessment, the print head is defective. Since you said that it is only 9 months old, please contact HP Support to discuss the next steps. The call is free for you. 🙂

You mentioned you now know what is the problem, contrary to your original indication that it could be a faulty printhead.  However, you did not say what you think the problem is - I think I need to know this to contact HP Support.  Thanks.
