I have an HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2375 printer and my laptop is not recognising it as a "Printer" anymore, it is being recognized as an Unspecified device. As a result, I cannot print. When I click Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices hover over the printer under Unspecified it says Driver Error. I cannot print documents because the laptop does not recognise the printer as a printer.

Hi @AdesaJ,
Here are the rest of the steps below.
8. Check Printer Status:
- Ensure your printer is not in an error state. Check the printer’s display or status lights for any error messages.
9. Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure your laptop has the latest Windows updates installed.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
10. Try a Different Cable:
- If you are using a USB cable, try a different one to rule out a faulty cable.
11. Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and click Remove device.
- Restart your laptop.
- Reconnect the printer and follow the prompts to reinstall it.
12. Firewall and Antivirus:
- Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can block the printer connection.
- Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software to see if the printer is recognized.
13. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
- This tool can diagnose and fix many common printing and scanning problems.
14. Check Printer Compatibility:
- Ensure that your printer model is compatible with your version of Windows. Check the HP website for compatibility information.
15. Contact HP Support:
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a more serious problem.
- Contact HP phone Support for further assistance
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
