I was having to unplug and then restart the printer for every single print. I went online and the suggestion was to go to settings and restore defaults, as if I had ever changed those. I did that, and now it won't print it all. HP charges us an arm and a leg for the ***bleep*** , ***bleep*** on the cost of replacement ink, and the ***bleep*** thing doesn't work Anybody know how to cure it?

You do not share enough details about what actually happens. Is the non-responsive at the control panel when after it prints the first page? Can you copy normally without it stopping? This could also be related to a driver or computer issue. To narrow down the issue, disconnect the printer from your computer and try making copies and also printing reports from the control panel. If that works, check and make sure that your firmware is up to date and also that you are using the most current drivers for the computer. You do not provide any details about what type of computer you are using so I cannot provide direct troubleshooting from that side.
