Product: LaserJet M806
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2019

No print, always reports tray 2 or tray 3 lifting, even when not installed. Shows all trays empty except for tray 5. All have paper (except tray 1).

The white gear/lever on the tray arm that does the lifting had a piece broken off, and enough play so it would not engage the gear that drives it. It is a tray problem. I found the broken section so If I can't get it glued back together, I'll be replacing the tray.

The reset didn't seem to make a difference. Note that "Tray 3 lifting" appears whether Tray 3 is open or closed, with or without paper, and even when completely removed.

One thing I would try is to separate the printer from the base station and see if the printer works ok with just tray 2 attached. We ,more commonly have problems with the base units than the printers themselves when it comes to problems like this.
