HP Color LaserJet Pro M454dn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printer M454dn works fine, but once a time it suddenly stops to respond to printing from any MS Windows application.

On the printer display is "Prepared" and everything seems ok, just the print job stuck in the print queue and is waiting.

It happens when it is connected via usb and also ethernet.

As a solution I found out disconnection and connection of usb cable or switch off/on the printer, then the job is printed normally.

I reinstalled driver, updated the printer firmware (SHMNT2XXXN002.2149A.00), but without success.

Does anybody know, how to solve this issue, please?

Are you connecting both USB and network? Most HP products in this range do not support both at the same time. If connecting via network, make sure that the port type assigned to the driver is a TCP/IP port and not a WSD port

Thank you for your reply, I was "out of order" for a while.

I disconnected the USB, left lan connection only and since then it has not happened.

So it seems it is really the reason.
