Microsoft Windows 11

My printer was working fine just a few days ago. It was working with both windows 10 and 11 devices in our household. We had the device connected to our network and printed through the network as well as did scans through the network. Yesterday the printer stopped being able to print. Here is what I have tried.

-Turning off the printer, unplugging it for 1 minute, plugging back in and turning it on. (reset)

-Resetting the router

-Resetting router and printer

-Reinstalling drivers on the PC (tried on 2 different machines)

-Connecting via USB cable

Some notable things I found along the way.

-My computers detect the device as connected. They claim it is ready to go up until I either send a print job or try to scan a document. Then they just say error within a few seconds, but don't give any error code or anything.

-The printer can both scan and print since it can do copies just fine on its own.

-If i type in the printer's IP address I can connect to its information just fine.  I was even able to tell the printer to enter cleaning mode and it worked fine. This leads me to believe the issue is internally in the printer with it being unable to send/receive data from outside sources.

Is there any saving this device or is it just a copy machine now?

Hi @yurmat ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already gone through several troubleshooting steps to address the issue with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn printer. Since you've tried both network and USB connections, reset both the router and the printer, and reinstalled drivers without success, it's possible that the issue lies with the printer itself.

Here are a few additional steps you could consider:

Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues and improve functionality. HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn Software and Driver

Network Settings: Ensure that the printer is correctly configured to connect to your network. Double-check the network settings on the printer to ensure they match your network configuration.

Factory Reset: If nothing else works, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer. This will reset all settings on the printer to their default values. However, be aware that this will erase any custom settings you've configured on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
