Laserjet M608
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Every time the printer shuts down, it prints a status page that says, “GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus  HTTP:/1.1Host: localhost”. How do I make this stop?

What driver are you using for the printer? There are some suggestions online that this might work.

On your PC go to control panel>devices and printers and right click on the icon for your printer and then select printer properties from the drop down menu. On the general tab you will see printer preferences, click that and then click on advanced and look for a printer notifications option and turn that off.

This is super strange, I have a Lexmark laser printer and I get that exact same page printing out all the time for no reason.  It must be more Windows than printer related.

I got the same problem,

I'm using Kyocera ECOSYS M5521cdw. there is no option for "Printer Status Notification"

It appears to me this happen after I upgraded the Windows 11 Pro.

I'm sick of seeing paper waste. Please tell me if you have any solution

some sites I found suggest that turning off bi-directional communication on the print driver might help, however this error appears to be related to scanning functions not printing, so if you have scanning software installed make sure  it is up to date as well.

Mine is a Laserjet Enterprise M553 and it doesn't have any scanner ability at all. It is simply a printer. It does not even have wi-fi. This all happened in October when I installed Windows 11 and among other things this messed up this laser printer. Was anyone ever able to find a solution?  I have had it go through an entire ream and a half of paper printing this nonsense page out, then today, I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it printed out a series of symbols and stuff on about 30 pages before I unplugged it to stop. Now it is back to just the GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1/1

Host : localhost

error that it prints everytime it wakes up. Sometimes it will print this same 2 lines 8 times on a single page before it stops.
