Can someone please tell me if the Laserjet m477fdw is supposed to automatically duplex in Windows 10 or not? I've found a couple of threads with instructions on how to get it to duplex automatically and none of them solve my problem. The best I can do is set it to manual duplex with is pretty much worse than not duplexing at all. Please someone help me!

Most likely when you installed the driver it did not detect that the printer has a duplex unit. To check this, on your computer go to control panel>devices and printers>and then right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties" from the drop down menu. Then click on the device settings tab and scroll down until you find duplex and make sure it shows as installed.

This worked from the standpoint of my computer now wanting to print duplex but the printer now still wants to do manual duplex. Is there a setting on there that I can change? Thanks so much for your help thus far.

Unless you are trying to duplex an unsupported size there is no manual setting. The printer should automatically duplex. However if you have the paper tray set for any size or an unsupported size then it will hang up. What size paper are you trying to duplex?
