Hello - we have half a dozen m506 laserjet in the office. End user had issues with Airprint on one of the printers. Long story short, we ended up formatting the eMMC. Now attempting to load the firmware through printer console and getting the "Unsupported Bundle" Error. I have tried USB 2.0, USB 3.0 - downloaded older versions of firmware from FTP and still stuck on that error. Replaced eMMC with a new module yesterday, same error, Funny thing is I took the eMMC to another printer and tried loading the firmware, got the same error. These printers are from 2016 and out of warranty. Does HP firmware updater check the warranty status / production date and disable it for out of warranty devices? There is no hard drive on those printers, just eMMC module.

Hello,
Hope you are fine, the firmware most recent version is uploaded to the HP website, FutureSmart Bundle Version 3.9.6 - HP LaserJet M506 Series Printer, it would be a good idea to use the new module with this BDL file. USB 2.0 is most recommended, most of printers does not support 3.0 USB.
The HP firmware does not relate to warranty status.
For further information please reach HP support or take the printer to an authorized service center for board check out.
Regards,
