After cleaning my Laserjet Pro M15W with compressed air (light pressure) the Attention and Ready leds stay on.

With the printer turned on, disconnecting the powercord, waiting 60" and reconnect the powercord gave no solution.

What can be the cause of this problem?

Hi @Zerufaar,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the Attention and Ready LEDs on your HP LaserJet Pro M15W printer remain lit after cleaning it with compressed air and the power cycle didn't resolve the issue, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem.

Check for Jammed Paper: Make sure there is no paper jammed inside the printer. Even a small piece of paper can trigger the Attention light. Open all the printer doors and inspect the paper path carefully.

Check for Toner Cartridge: Ensure that the toner cartridge is properly installed. Sometimes, a loose or improperly seated cartridge can cause issues. Remove and reseat the toner cartridge to ensure it's properly in place.

Inspect for Foreign Objects: While you've already cleaned it with compressed air, double-check for any foreign objects like paper clips, bits of paper, or debris that may be blocking sensors or moving parts inside the printer.

Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on the printer. To do this, follow these steps:

a. Turn off the printer.

b. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button simultaneously.

c. While holding both buttons, turn on the printer.

d. Continue holding the buttons until the Attention and Ready LEDs blink together, then release the buttons.

This should reset the printer to its factory settings. Afterward, try setting it up again and see if the issue is resolved.

Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve various issues.

Remember to unplug the printer from the power source before performing any internal checks or adjustments, and exercise caution to avoid any damage or injury.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello,

Thank you very much for helping me.

I did all the points you suggested, first without succes.

I then disambled the plastic covers of the printer and cleaned everything with light compressed air.

After doing this, the error was fixed. I think there must have been some inktpowder on a sensor.

But now I have another problem : when I want to print, the paper doesn't go in. I hear the mechanism that wants to take the paper, but it isn't dragged in.

I checked if I assembled everything correctly, and it seems ok to me.

Hello,

Yes, like I wrote, I have now the problem that the paper isn't inserted. After assembling all the covers of the printer, the paper doesn't go forward. I hear the mechanism of the paperinsert working, but the paper doesn't move. I checked the assembly of the covers and it's ok for me.

What can be the reason for this?
