Hi @Randy-Turner,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Access Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Find the printer’s IP address: You can find the IP address on the network configuration page printed from the printer.
- Open a web browser: Type the printer’s IP address into the URL bar (e.g., http://192.168.0.12).
- Login to EWS if required: Use the administrator credentials to access the settings.
Update or Remove the Expired Certificate
- Navigate to Settings or Security tab: Find the section related to certificates within the EWS.
- Locate the expired certificate: Check the details for the expired certificate.
- Renew or delete the certificate:
- Renew: Some systems allow you to renew the certificate directly from the EWS.
- Delete: If renewal is not possible, you may need to delete the expired certificate and add a new one.
Install a New Certificate
- Generate a new certificate: If the printer requires a certificate, generate a new one through your network or security software.
- Upload the new certificate to the printer: Use the EWS to install the new certificate.
- Save and apply changes: Ensure that any changes are saved and applied.
Firmware Update
- Check for firmware updates: Visit the HP support website and search for firmware updates for your specific printer model.
- Download and install: Follow the instructions provided to update the printer firmware.
Restart and Test
- Restart both the printer and computer: After making changes, restart the printer and computer.
- Test the connection: Verify if the error message is resolved and the printer functions correctly.
I hope this helps.
