Hi @kstrid,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A red blinking LED on your Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW Laser Printer typically indicates a problem that needs attention. Since you mentioned that there is no paper jam and the printer is working, here are a few possible causes and solutions.

  • Toner Cartridge Issue: The toner cartridge might be low or improperly installed. Try removing the toner cartridge, shaking it gently to redistribute the toner, and then reinstalling it. Check if the LED stops blinking after this.
  • Paper Tray Issue: Ensure that the paper trays are properly aligned and filled with the correct type and size of paper. Sometimes the tray sensors might trigger a warning if there's an issue.
  • Cover or Door Issue: Check that all covers and doors are properly closed. Even a slight gap can sometimes cause the red LED to blink.
  • Printer Maintenance: The printer might need a maintenance reset. Try turning off the printer, unplugging it for a minute, and then turning it back on.
  • Firmware Update: If possible, check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve unknown issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
