When I scan a doc there is a black line running down the middle of the page.  Clean print heads?  Don't know how

if when scanning but not printing the problem is debris on the scanner glass.

 

This video shows proper cleaning procedures to fix vertical streaks on scans. This video shows the HP Color LaserJet Pro but the steps are similar for any product with an ADF. Take special note that many models have a plastic film over the ADF slit glass which must not be removed. If removed the ADF will jam and you would need to replace it.
