Just purchased OfficeJet 3830. I'm having difficulty physically loading A4 paper. Even with the width guide at its extreme right hand position, the paper can't be easily loaded. All the set up videos show the paper bveing smoothly loaded and then the width guide being adjusted to fit snugly against the paper. I have to maneouvre the paper in carefully even with the width guide at its right hand limit, the paper does not lie exactly flat and as a resutl, therer are frequnet paper jams.

Hi @jmax51,
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you
Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.
Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Refer to the document on how to load paper-Loading Paper and Envelopes
and also to clear jams, refer to -Paper Jam Error

Eventually I managed to unstick the paper guide and push it to its proper extreme position. Not sure how i accomplished this. I was variously pushing, shaking, pulling etc the guide. Suddenly it was loose. No idea how. So never got round to trying your solution but thanks anyway.
