HP DeskJet 4100e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I've accidentally thrown away the Setup Cartridges with the printer packaging for my HP DeskJet 4100e printer, I have purchased new official HP Cartridges but the printer won't accept them and keeps asking for the setup cartridges instead.

Is there anyway of bypassing this please? I'm unable to return the printer as I no longer have the packaging and I'd hate to waste a perfectly good printer.

Thanks in advance.

You can try the instructions here: HP Printers - A 'Use SETUP Cartridges' Error Displays | HP® Customer Support

But you may need to contact HP Technical support for a device specific code to bypass the messsage.

Thanks for that, I was hoping someone from HP would be able to PM me the instructions like they have on similar support calls. It would save so much time than having to sit on the phone for them to tell me the same thing.
