M139we laser printer shows rd error and power light is blinking,  doesn't print

The "rd" error code on your HP LaserJet M139we printer and the blinking power light typically indicate an issue related to the printer's readiness or a potential jam. Here are some steps to help troubleshoot.

 

Check for Paper Jams

  • Open all access points, such as the paper tray and back panel, and inspect for any paper jammed inside the printer.
  • Gently remove any jammed paper to avoid damaging the internal components.

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for at least 30 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can reset any temporary error state.

Check the Toner Cartridge

  • Open the printer and ensure that the toner cartridge is correctly installed.
  • Remove and reinstall the cartridge to ensure it is seated properly.

Firmware Update

  • If possible, ensure the printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this by:
    • Downloading the latest firmware update from the HP Support website.
    • Following the on-screen instructions to install the update.

Factory Reset

  • If the issue persists, you can try resetting the printer to factory settings:
