M209DW printer

My printer M209DW blinking amber since trying turn on direct Wifi.

 

I can access to it using HP smart app only until the LED starts to blink amber (then no access via USB, Wifi etc . or button action is performed).

 

I performed firmware upgrade, but still the same.

This is useful if there is no modem or you do not want to give someone access to your modem but you want to let them print something..

Simple push button or WPS setup is described on page 6 of Users Manuall. You have 2 minutes to get back to the printer after pushing the button on the modem / router.

Thanks for your help. Reseting the printer worked previously (a few hours ago). Now :

- printers turns on front led turns green, bluetooth logo blinks to times

- front led turns white for 20 seconds.

-during this 20 sec time pushing the bluetooth button does not make the bluetooth logo appear (not like the video on the link you send)

- pushing the 'I' light up all the buttons but then pushing both bluetooth button and 'X' button and release does nothing.

After the remaining of the 20 seconds the front led blinks orange and it seems completely stuck (even USB does not detect it)

Hello! 

I had the same issue as you! I could not print or do anything and the Printer would not connect. The lights was a solid orange color constantly. However, I called HP+ customer service, and he was very accommodating and he was able to solve my issue!! Here are the steps that I had to take to resolve my issue:

First I reset my printer by pressing the wifi button and "X" button simultaneously.

I went to the HP Smart app (I wasn't signed in) and hid my printer. I added a new printer and went through all of the steps, EXCEPT, I did not click continue for the last step. 

Next, I searched the printer's IP address and went to HP Web Services. From there, I enabled a setting. It all had to do with a setting turned off that had to do with the internet disconnection!

I went back to the HP smart app and then pressed "Continue" It did ask for me to try again, but when I did, It finally worked! I was able to re-set up my printer and now it works and will print through all accounts and devices
