HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw

Hello,

My Hp Color laserjet MFP M283fdw is on But the screen is black and appears to be off and possibly broken when the printer is on.  I have turn the printer on and off several times as well as plugged and unplugged it from the wall outlet.  The screen does not react and appears to be off when I touch it.

Neither my phone app or laptop can find the printer when the printer is on.   When powering on and off, the printer screen stays dark.

The printer sounds like it makes normal noises when it is turned on or off or if the paper tray is opened and closed.

Any help to fix the problem would be welcome.

Thank you.

Try this, open and close front door four times.  This should produce an engine test.  See if anything prints.  If you can, plug in a network cable and see if any network lights come on. Lights are at printer network connection.  Looks like a defective control panel, T6B80-60101.  If the print engine is working,  my guess is the control panel is bad.  Ebay should have some.   Should not be a hard fix.  Remove back cover of control panel (usually two clips), 2-3 screws.  the remove control panel from mount and remove flat cables.
