Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw

Hi to all you experts,

 

my M477fdw is beeping while printing. there is no error showing on the display nor is there any hint when I go to the IP of the printer and look at any kind of protokoll.

 

Does have anyone the same issue and found a solution? Does anyone know where the speaker is located - would then cut the cable to it.

Nearly every time I have encountered this issue it is because the printer has been plugged into a UPS and it is actually the UPS that is beeping. A Uninterruptible Power Supply is designed to provide run time to a computer when the power goes out. A laser printer causes an overload due to the high power demand.

Plug the printer directly into wall. No extension cords, surge protector or UPS should be used ever.

The only speaker is on a fax modem, but there is no reason why it should beep while printing.

Thanks for your answer. So why is my printer beeping then. Havent setup fax so far.

 

Any hint where to look or what to do?
