Hello,

I purchased original compatible toner cartridges for my M477fdw. The black cartridges work but the color cartridges read incompatible. Any ideas on how I might fix this? I did a reset on my printer and updated firmware to no avail.

Likely the vendor of said "compatible" cartridges did not use a certified chip on the cartridge and that is the problem. You need to go back to where you purchased them from and they need to fix your problem. This is not a problem with the printer.

Actually, The cartridges are compatible and hp authentic. After several days of research, I found The solution.
I inserted the cartridges though they said incompatible. Rebooted the computer and did a factory reset not the soft reset suggested by hp. Once I did this problem resolved.
