MFP479
macOS 10.15 Catalina

MFP479 does NOT draw paper from 3rd paper magazine. (event code 13.04.01)

The same paper works flawlessly from the 2nd paper magazine...

The printer has only printed approx. 100 pages and the 3rd magazine is brand new.....

Things I have seen that have caused this problem:

- failure to remove the orange tape from the gear on top of tray 3 that is driven by the printer. Lift the printer off tray 3 and check to make sure everything was removed

- paper guides set in the wrong position, make sure the guides are snug

-  Pickup rollers that have been knocked loose during shipping. Make sure the rollers are all seated in the tray body correctly.

- Shipping material jammed in the paper path. While you have the printer off the tray, try to push a piece of paper through the paper path in the normal direction of travel, this is called flossing the paper path.

Does the printer actually sound like it is trying to pull paper and is failing?
