My iMac (OS 13.6.9) continually fails to recognize my HP Office Jet 5200, though I can print fine from mobile devices. This happens repeatedly and has variably been fixed (but not consistently) by restarting devices, updating software, using the IP address, but now none of these things work. The printer is not found, nor is the driver listed for this printer in the Mac pull down menu, and the driver is not located on any of the HP sites I have tried. HP Firmware updater does not discover the printer, either - "device unreachable." All on same network. Repeatedly confirmed. I have spent many, many, hours on this. I have fixed the issue in the past, only to have it continually recur.

1. Please download and install HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:
2. And go to System Preferences > Printers then Add the printer.
3. Also check that the printer and your iMac are connected to a 2.4 Ghz network, because HP printers are more compatible with that 2.4 networks.
