Hi @Hank772,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e All-In-One Printer is displaying the message "Printer Maintenance is in progress Do not interrupt," it typically means that the printer is in the midst of performing a maintenance task, such as cleaning the printheads or aligning cartridges. During this process, it's important not to interrupt the printer to ensure that the maintenance is completed successfully.

Here are a few steps you can take:

  • Wait: First and foremost, give the printer some time to complete its maintenance task. Depending on the complexity of the task and the condition of the printer, it may take some time to finish.
  • Check for progress: If the message persists for an extended period, you can check the printer's display panel or control panel for any progress indicators. Some printers may provide an estimated completion time or a progress bar.
  • Power cycle: If the message remains after waiting for a reasonable amount of time, you can try power cycling the printer. Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues and allow the printer to resume normal operation.
  • Update firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can address bugs or issues that may cause maintenance messages to appear incorrectly. Update the firmware on an HP printer
