Hi @Dulcinea-14,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blinking orange light on your HP DeskJet 3755 printer typically indicates an issue that needs attention. In your case, since you're trying to print from your iPad Air 5 and encountering the "Cannot find air printer" message, there could be a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure both your iPad Air 5 and the HP DeskJet 3755 printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is essential for your devices to communicate with each other.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart both your iPad and the printer, and then try connecting again.
- Check Printer's Network Status: Ensure that the printer's Wi-Fi is enabled and properly connected to your network. You might need to access the printer's settings to check and adjust the Wi-Fi connection.
- Update Firmware: Outdated firmware on the printer can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model and follow the instructions to update it.
- Check AirPrint Compatibility: Make sure that your HP DeskJet 3755 printer supports Apple's AirPrint technology, which is necessary for printing directly from an iPad or other Apple devices. Most modern printers do support AirPrint, but it's worth confirming this.
- Reset Printer's Network Settings: If you're still facing issues, you can try resetting the printer's network settings. Look in the printer's manual or on HP's website for instructions on how to do this.
- Reinstall Printer on iPad: Sometimes, the printer might need to be re-added to your iPad. Open the Settings app on your iPad, go to "Printers," and if the HP DeskJet 3755 is listed, remove it. Then, try adding the printer again.
- Check Printer's Display Panel: The blinking orange light on the printer could indicate a specific error or issue. Check the printer's display panel for any error messages or prompts that might help diagnose the problem.
- Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer that might be causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
