Printhead failure again.
But it prints "test pages" beautifully.
Printer was Fine until I loaded an HP BRAND Black cartridge (which I only use). Then said Print head failed. Instructions "Show Me" do not animate on the screen. Stuck menu. HP Support won't pick up. Help. Says Printhead error but CAN'T FIND THE PRINTHEAD in their printer. As well the Black ink has puddled into the printer and I have tried to soak it up with paper towels. What a mess.
Why can't this printhead be replaced? This is an expensive Printer/Scanner Large format All-In-One. A SHAME to toss into the landfill. Not happy with the "just buy a new one" business model. This is unethical.
Test pages are fine. this must be a software glitch. Printer will not reset using all available online instructions.

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
As per this document, a missing or failed printhead error message displays on the printer control panel or computer typically indicates an ink system failure.
Power resetting the printer and cleaning the cartridge electrical contacts may clear the error. Let's try these steps:
Please ensure the printer is up-to-date with its firmware. If you are unsure, you may use the steps available here to update the printer firmware.
1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector
2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door
3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)
4) Clean the electrical contacts, refer to solution 2 from this document.
5) Plug the power cord back into the printer
6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
Let me know how it goes!
