I get the 'the printhead appears to be missing, not detected, incorrectly installed, or incompatible' error everytime i try to print.  i have tried all on the online support solution but nothing has worked.  The printer was fine until yesterday morning and now keeping getting this error everytime i try to print.  Can anyone help on this please?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

I would be happy to help you with your HP Photosmart 7520 E-All-In-One Printer. I understand that you are getting a printhead that appears to be missing an error message and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting. 

 

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

 

  • Reset the printer.
  • Unseat the printhead.
  • Remove the ink cartridges, and then check the error message.
  • Clean the ink cartridges, and then check the error message.
  • Update the printer firmware.

Click here and follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the document to fix this issue.
