Hi @ELTTransport,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Starter cartridges typically come with new printers and are intended for initial setup. If they have been discarded, there are a few options you can consider.
Purchase Replacement Cartridges:
- If you are unable to get replacement starter cartridges, you can purchase regular replacement cartridges compatible with your Envy 7900e printer.
- Make sure to buy cartridges that are compatible with your specific printer model.
Use Standard Cartridges:
- If you already have standard cartridges for the printer, you can go ahead and install them.
- The printer should be able to function with standard cartridges, although it might prompt you to confirm the cartridge type.
Reset the Printer:
- Some printers have sensors that detect the presence of cartridges. If the printer refuses to operate without the starter cartridges, you can try resetting the printer.
- Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset or a cartridge reset.
Always refer to the printer's user manual for specific instructions and guidelines.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
