When the printer was working all cartridges showed plenty of ink.  Then today a msg appeared that said one or more cartridges was missing or damaged.  When I clicked on the color icons they all showed no ink and each one had a blk X above it.  I have tried resetting the ptr and the cartridges with no success.  In the idle state there is a yellow triangle with an (!) in it over the yellow icon.  I have also tried anothe yellow cartridge with the same results.  I'm out of options at this point.

Hi @CPOLee,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you get "one or more cartridges are missing or damaged" error message on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the cartridge or the printer are defective.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Ink Cartridge Error Messages

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

Nothing worked.  Contacts on the cartridges were clean.  It's not likely that every cartridge would suddenly develope the same problem all at once.  So, I took the printer and all associated items to Best Buy for recycling and purchased another HP printer ( HP Officejet Pro 6978 ).

Thanks.  The new printer is working fine and all is well.  This one has a lot more features than my old one did so I have some learning to do.
