I am trying to help two friends of the family with printer issues relating to AirPrint. Both are older. One has an HP Envy 5530 multifunction printer and is running Win 7. The other has an HP OfficeJet 6958 on Win 10. Both had some initial issues with AirPrint, but we worked through those and now it working. I even works when the printer goes to sleep. However they are both having the exact same problem now. After a few days, AirPrint stops working. The AirPrinter cannot be found from any device, and the only way to fix it is to power off and power back on the printer. Both are hooked up via WiFi with static IP addresses. This is very frustrating to both families which are not computer saavy. Any help or suggesions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Did that. It works too. Hasn't been long enough to know if it keeps working. However, it is not really a solution for them. The do 90% of their printing from the Apple email app, which based on other threads it the community, is not supported by HP Smart app. It is only supported by AirPrint. 😞 Not sure what else to do.
I did note one other thing. I'm beginning to believe it's not AirPrint that's the problem. I think it might be the wireless. This printer is wireless only, no hardwire network connection. When it stops working from AirPrint, it also stops working from their desktop (Windows 10, standard TCP/IP Printer Port, Spectrum standard cable modem/wifi router), which has nothing to do with AirPrint. I'm wondering if there might be something either in the printer or in the router that's timing out the wifi.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
