Sorry Mikepdcit, I just saw this.  We had the HP full software installed on a computer that it was connected via USB it popped up saying there was an update available.  Installed it and haven't had any issues since.  I just tried to look on their website to share a link but they don't show updated software available yet.  Wish I could be more help.

HP Recommended

Mine was stable for 2 days, then I physically moved the printer, and the errors started coming back.  A slightly different code this time.  But I've had it with these 8720s...  the fact it just goes into 'useless' mode until you reboot it for the slightest thing.. and they do everything they can to NOT HELP YOU figure out what..  I don't have that kind of patience to get crapped on constantly by a simple function like PRINT.

 

Returned the printer.
