I have received the following error messages today on my printer: B3DA8BEB, B3C536E0 and B3E2BBEB. I have done the following:

1. Unplugged the machine, waited for several seconds and reconnected.

2. Ran HP Smart and confirmed that the firmware was current.

Neither of these have solved the issue.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

True - the Reset / Restart solutions to clear errors of this type are limited.

If "several seconds" is not at least a couple of minutes, best try again.

What else?

Not much --

Make sure the printer is plugged into a standard wall socket (as opposed to a surge protector, for example).

Try a different outlet -- this is less likely to help than hoped...

I left it unplugged for half an hour and the error appeared again. Just reconnected after leaving it unplugged overnight and seeing if it duplicates. Hopefully, I don't have to replace the printer but I'll see what happens.

You are welcome.

I doubt letting it sit overnight will make a difference.   Might.  ?

Try a different outlet (if you have not done so).

You might try restarting everything, including the router than controls the network.

Neither using a different outlet or leaving it unplugged overnight has solved the problem. And the router is not the issue. This is local to the printer and restarting it will not make a difference. Unfortunately, I may have to start pricing new printers.

Sure - sometimes the answer is "No".

We don't like "No" either.

Good Luck - there are many new printers -- be sure to read all the specifications before choosing.

Post a new question if you have questions.

The main frustration right now is that HP won't post a list of these error codes for troubleshooting purposes. And trust me that I do my research before I buy anything. Printers are no different.

So the end result was that I had to buy a new printer and recycle the old one.

I've had a few unfixable failures -- it is frustrating when it happens.

Thanks for letting us know.

If the new printer is an HP, ask if you need help.
