Here's an odd one. Using both a 5520 and a 7520, both printers will only print in color, not black and white. I've made sure that I'm selecting black and white, and I've updated my drivers. Any ideas? Other people use these printers without this issue so it might be on my end, but I have no idea what it would be.

Hello @Alex-Tutorme, Greetings!
Thank you for joining HP support forums, I would like to help 🙂
I understand that you are having issues while printing in black and white in both of your printers.
Let’s try changing the printing preferences:
- Go to control panel – Devices and printers – Give a right click on Photosmart 7520 (Also on Photosmart 5520) and select printing preferences.
- Go to “Paper / quality” tab and make sure “Black & White” option is selected.
- Now click on “Advanced” button - check for “Print in grayscale” option. Make sure it is turned on. Apply and save the settings.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance
Cheers 🙂
