Hp printer 2852e and 2855e both show the same 0e. I installed new cartridges and followed every bit of advice on help videos. How can you help me?

Thank you for your response . I had tried all of the above and it didn’t resolve my issue. However a friend found my problem. Being on direct WiFi I was only connected to my phone hotspot. When I connected my iPad as well the router could communicate back. Only then could I align my newly installed cartridge. Now it’s working smooth as honey. 😊 hopefully this can help someone else too and save on some frustrations.

Hi @Miriam85,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Error Code 0E on HP Printer Models 2852e and 2855e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are installed correctly.
  • Remove the cartridges and inspect them. Ensure no protective tape remains over the cartridge contacts.
  • Re-insert the cartridges, making sure they click into place properly.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the electrical contacts using a lint-free cloth moistened with distilled water.
  • Allow them to dry before reinstalling the cartridges.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
  • Wait for about 2-3 minutes, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure the printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the print carriage area for any obstructions and remove any debris you find.
