HP Recommended

I have a HP3831 which:

  • has the latest firmware (checked today)
  • displays no error messages
  • prints colour documents

But, refuses to print colour photographs in colour.  I have:

  • Checked all print settings
  • Selected and tried all glossy paper options
  • Selected and tried all print quality options
  • Run full printer diagnostics
  • Cleaned and aligned heads
  • Downloaded and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

There was a similar post to which HP Support replied to the user privately (really helpful on a forum, thanks). I am at my wits end now, wasted approximately 40 sheets of A4 photo paper and who knows how much (black) ink; pretty close to binning the printer and moving back to Canon.

 

Please help.
