My CM1312 has started to show as Printer Status Unknown. Since then, it no longer shows me toner ink levels. I have gone through the virtual; assistant and no joy. I also replaced the toner cartridges, and it is still the same.
I believe these are linked. It is connected via USB and will print normally, but only in black. How do I get the printer status reset to known and hopefully that fixes the issues I have had.

Any help appreciated.

Download and save this software (backup) only: HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series Full Solution 

 

Then first restart the entire system:

  1. shut down printer via on/off switch
  2. switch off the router
  3. shut down the computer
  4. wait about 60 sec.
  5. switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
  6. Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
  7. switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 10 sec.

... and now everything's working again, Toolbox?

Unfortunately, your "fix" has not resolved the issue. The ink screen now comes back on in the bottom right corner of my screen, but flashes with unable to recognize printer still. The printer still only prints in black and white, despite changing toner and retesting.

Is there another stage I can complete to resolve the issue?

Any help much appreciated.

Print a supplies status page

Setup > reports > supplies status

 

I think there is a problem with the color toner cartridges.

 

upload here, click on the icon "Insert photos", "Set format = Large", original size at least 200 KB.
But before you must remove or delete the personal data and printer serial number on the printout.
