My ENVY 6000 will print "printer information" pages but will not print a job in queue [code E0]

I have tried all the suggested steps and installed new cartridges, and the error will not go away. This is crazy because when I first turned the printer on, it started printing a multi-page job that I had apparently sent to the printer (while it was offline) without realizing it, and it printed 5 pages perfectly fine. Not wanting to waste ink (which was also a color job) I hit the "X" button, and that's when the problem began. I do not think it's a cartridge problem. But it would appear that the best course of action now is to throw the frigging thing into the garbage. Thanks for the help and support HP!

Hi @SteveM1950

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're facing an issue with your HP ENVY 6000 where it prints "printer information" pages but not actual print jobs, and you're receiving an E0 error code. The E0 error typically indicates an issue with the printer's print queue or communication between your computer and the printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Clear the Print Queue

  • The first thing you should do is clear any print jobs stuck in the queue.
    • On Windows: Open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click on your HP ENVY 6000 printer > See what's printing > Cancel All Documents.
    • On macOS: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Select your printer > Open Print Queue > Cancel any stuck jobs.
  • After clearing the queue, try printing again.

2. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the issue persists after restarting both the printer and your computer.

3. Reinstall the Printer Driver

  • It's possible that a corrupted or outdated printer driver is causing the problem. Reinstalling the driver might help.
    • Uninstall the printer driver on your computer:
      • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer and choose Remove device.
      • On macOS: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer and click the minus sign to remove it.
    • Download the latest driver from the HP website and reinstall it.
    • After reinstalling the driver, add the printer again and check if it prints successfully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
