@Kilgore2300, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

When the HP Envy 6000e printer shows a solid amber light, it typically indicates a printing error. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Check Other Indicator Lights:

  • Look at the other lights on the printer's control panel to identify any additional error messages or indicators. This can give you more specific information about the nature of the problem.

Paper Tray Light Blinking:

  • If the paper tray light is blinking, this suggests a paper-related error. Ensure the printer's input tray is loaded with the correct type and size of paper. Check for any paper jams and clear them if necessary. You might need to adjust the paper settings in the printer’s driver or in the HP Smart app.

Cartridge Access Door Light Blinking:

  • If the cartridge access door light blinks and the ink cartridge light is on, it might indicate a problem with the ink cartridges. This could be due to a counterfeit or previously used cartridge, or that the cartridge is low. Verify that the cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels.

Carriage Obstruction:

  • If there is a carriage stall, it may cause a fast blinking amber light. Check for any obstructions in the carriage path by opening the printer's ink cartridge access area. Press the Cancel button to stop the current print job and clear any impediments.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
