I have been using this air printer for years, printing from my iPad, iPhone, and computer via home Wi-Fi. It all of a sudden stopped printing/ responding. I re-set up the wireless direct network, using the printer's touch screen. Still nothing. The printout says: wireless on, wireless working, and passed all the other network tests.

I understand that the printer has stopped printing.

Are you facing this issue after an update?

Follow the below steps to fix the issue.

Click here and update the Firmware for the printer.

  • If you are using WiFi Direct.

On your iPhone.

Thanks, Raj1788.

You helped in part. I redid the wireless set up; I connected the air printer to my local Wi-Fi. The printout indicated that the setup was successful. That is the way I always used to print. I tried to print... Nothing!

So I set up the wireless direct option. End of story...I printed! So I can do this for now. But it is a pain because I have to choose the printer instead of my Wii-fi and then switch back.

Hi @bobw171,

Thank you for the reply.

I understand that the printer is connected to the network and it'snot communicating with the computer.

Follow the below steps for the wireless issue

  1. Turn the printer off and on, and then make sure it is in a ready state.

  2. Search Windows for devices, and then click Devices and Printers in the list of results.

  3. Find the icon for the printer you originally installed.

    • If a color or grey icon displays with a green checkmark, continue to the next step.

    • If a color or a grey icon displays without a green checkmark, right-click the icon, select Set as Default Printer, and then continue to the next step.

    • If one color and one grey icon displays for your printer, right-click the color icon, select Set as Default Printer, and then continue to the next step.

Changing the gray icon to the color icon to be the default printer
  4. Right-click the icon for the default printer, and then select See what's printing.

    The print queue window opens.

  5. Click Printer. If a checkmark displays next to Pause Printing and Use Printer Offline, click each item to remove the checkmark.

  6. Try to print.
