HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have problems with printing from one computer (Dell), while from the other (Lenovo) printing is as it should be, both are laptops. I have tried everything that I could find on these message boards - uninstalling and reinstalling, installing basic driver, stopping and starting Print Spool ... It happened that I noticed at one time that all the drivers are for 4530 version and I have 4535, so I installed these. And for one page (!) it actually worked, but then again Word gave me no option whether to print in black and white or in color. What else can I do? I'm really at a loss here. This problem has been here for a while, but as I haven't printed in color for sometime, I didn't notice this. Thank you.

Best regards,

Lejla

Hello,

thank you for your quick reply.

I downloaded and ran HP Print and Scan Doctor and it discovered nothing, unfortunatelly. Test page came out in black and white (otherwise perfect). I also opened  the options for the printer and this window turned up. It's in slovenian, but I guess this is the same in every language. Well, there is no option to choose the color (it's marked with red), I guess like I would have a black and white printer only.

Might it actually be that this a computer's issue and not the printer's? Because it works fine with another one.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Thank you for posting back.

Let's try this:

Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP DeskJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here.

If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall printer Basic drivers from the link: Click here

If the issue still continues, install using Using the Windows Built-in Print DriverClick here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
