My HP Envy Photo 7155 printer keeps telling me to load paper in the photo tray.  But there IS paper there!  And I can't get anything to print.

Hi Wendybou,
here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue with your HP Envy Photo 7155 printer:

1. **Check Paper Alignment:** Ensure that the paper in the photo tray is properly aligned and fits within the guides. Sometimes, misalignment can trigger false paper-empty errors.

2. **Clean the Rollers:** Dust and debris on the rollers might cause issues with paper detection. Gently clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and a bit of water.

3. **Reset the Printer:** Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer on and check if the error persists.

4. **Update Firmware/Software:** Check the HP website for any available firmware or software updates for your printer model. Updating might resolve compatibility issues causing the error.

5. **Paper Type and Size Settings:** Make sure that the paper type and size settings on both the printer and the computer match the paper you have loaded in the tray.

6. **Try a Different Paper:** Sometimes, the printer might have trouble with a specific type of paper. Try using a different type or brand of paper to see if that resolves the issue.

7. **Check for Obstructions:** Inspect the paper tray and the printer for any foreign objects that might be causing the error.

8. **Contact HP Support:** If the problem persists, it's advisable to contact HP customer support for further assistance or troubleshooting tailored to your specific situation.

By going through these steps, you should be able to resolve the paper-loading issue with your printer.
