My HP Office Jet Pro 8020 Series just stopped working. I got a blue screen with a code B8081E8A and all the indicator lights are flashing. It won't turn off/reset with the button. I tried resetting it by cutting the power and waiting a bit before restoring it, but as soon as I tried reprinting my document, the screen turned blue again.
What can I do to solve this issue?

Hi @MikeR1233 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Office Jet Pro 8020 Series printer is encountering a technical issue, possibly related to its firmware or hardware. The error code B8081E8A typically indicates a hardware failure or a critical system error.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
- Power Cycle: Since you've already tried power cycling the printer, let's try it again, but this time, disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power source, then wait for at least 5 minutes before reconnecting it.
- Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for known issues or bugs that could cause errors like this one. You can usually find firmware update instructions on the HP support website specific to your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Open all access doors to the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions that may be causing the issue. Remove any stuck paper carefully.
- Reset to Factory Defaults: Many printers have an option to reset to factory defaults. Refer to your printer's manual to find out how to perform a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings you have configured.

I hope this helps.
