Hi @Coobie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve the printing issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e series printer.

Check the Basics

  1. Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  2. Connection: Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If using Wi-Fi, check if the printer is connected to the correct network.

Check for Error Messages

  • Look at the printer's display panel for any error messages or codes. If there are any, follow the on-screen instructions to resolve them.

Check Ink Levels and Paper

  1. Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
  2. Paper: Ensure there is enough paper in the tray and that it is properly aligned.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to automatically diagnose and resolve issues.

Clear Print Queue

  1. On your computer, go to Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e printer and select See what's printing.
  3. In the new window, click Printer and then Cancel All Documents.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

  1. Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  2. Download and install the latest firmware and drivers for your printer.

Perform a Printer Reset

  1. Reset Printer Settings: Go to the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings > Restore Defaults or Printer Maintenance > Restore.
  2. Factory Reset: If the basic reset doesn't work, try a factory reset. Refer to the printer's manual for detailed steps.

Print a Test Page

  • Attempt to print a test page directly from the printer's control panel to see if the issue persists.

Check for Software Issues

  1. Reinstall Printer Software: Uninstall the printer software from your computer and reinstall it.
  2. Try a Different Application: Sometimes, the issue might be with the specific application you are using to print. Try printing from a different application.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
