Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just spent 2 hours trying to fix this problem. My printer will only print in black and white, even when the settings in the software program are for colour. It's been this way for months, but it printed colour when I first got the printer.  I would guess it happened on one of the updates.

Colour printing is NOT given as an option in my printer properties or preferences.  I have:

- restarted the laptop (on numerous occasions)

- restarted the printer (on numerous occasions)

- uninstalled the printer and re-installed it (and restarted)

- uninstalled and re-installed the drivers (and restarted)

- checked for updates (I am told it is up to date)

- checked the cartridges (level is fine and they are official HP ones - I use Instant Ink)

- printed test pages and alignment pages (which come out in colour)

I admit I was "putting up with it" for the longest time, but I'm no longer prepared to have a computer printer that won't fulfil its capabilities.

Please help!

Thanks

Kim

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy and check.
